What Makes Us Different?
Why Hemp Matters

What is CBD?
CBD — scientifically known as Cannabidiol — is one of more than hundreds of Cannabinoids found in the hemp and cannabis plants. And, just like the hemp plant, CBD is not psychoactive. Instead, it is a component that can be used in a variety of different ways — some known and others yet to be discovered. Recently, you have likely seen an explosion of CBD-infused products being used in everything from soaps, bath and body oils, shampoos, and topical lotions to cooking oils and baking flours, just to name a few.
What is the Entourage Effect?
The whole hemp plant has hundreds of compounds (cannabinoids and terpenes, among others) each offering distinct effects and benefits. When these compounds are used together they have the potential to positively impact the effects and benefits of one another. This is the Entourage Effect.
Simply put: the Entourage Effect is the benefit you get from ingesting multiple components of the hemp plant together instead of ingesting one component at a time.”
Why is this better than CBD alone?
“The components of the cannabis plant together exert a therapeutic effect, more than any single compound alone.”
– Raphael Mechoulam, PhD – the “Father of Cannabis Research”
What is the difference?
There are 4 different levels of the hemp refinement process used today. Let’s walk through each level to show why the whole hemp powder is superior.
CBD Isolate – Most concentrated form of CBD. Contains only 1 active cannabinoid. Plant matter is lost during the process along with all other cannabinoids.
CBD Distillate ‘Broad Spectrum’ – Contains a few active cannabinoids. Beneficial plant matter is lost during the process.
Crude CBD Oil ‘Full Spectrum’ – Contains almost all active cannabinoids. Beneficial plant matter is lost during the process.
Hemp113 ™ Whole Hemp Powder – Contains all active cannabinoids (including CBD) found in the hemp plant before processing. Has no loss of beneficial plant matter including terpenes, flavonoids, essential vitamins, fatty acids, protein, and fiber.
The Science
Having learned that the hemp plant contains 113 known phytocannabinoids, many of which mimic our body’s own endocannabinoids, we understood the healing potential of the hemp plant. When introduced into our bodies, these phytocannabinoids unlock our receptors and activate the process for internal health and balance.
